Fees are per attempt and are paid to Anthropic through the Partner Academy at registration. AI7x7 does not collect any official fee; our prices cover AI7x7 preparation materials only.
What the fee covers
One proctored sitting, online via Pearson OnVUE or at a Pearson test centre, a scaled score report with percent-correct by domain, and a Credly digital badge if you pass. Preparation courses on the Partner Academy are separate and available to Claude Partner Network members.
Retake costs
Each attempt is paid at full fee. Waiting periods: 14 days after the first failed attempt, 30 after the second, 90 after the third, with a maximum of four attempts per exam in any rolling 12-month period. No-shows and late changes (inside 24 hours) forfeit the fee.
Renewal costs
Credentials are valid for 12 months. On-time renewal is free: a non-proctored assessment on the Partner Academy after reviewing what changed. If the credential lapses, renewal requires a full retake at full fee. Anthropic may require a retake if content changes significantly.
Eligibility
Official exam registration is through the Anthropic Partner Academy and is described by Anthropic as available to members of the Claude Partner Network (membership is free; firms join at claude.com/partners). AI7x7 resources may be used by anyone for learning and preparation. Anthropic's announcement states that exams are available to members of the Claude Partner Network, that membership is free, and that firms join and register practitioners at claude.com/partners. The Partner Academy marks the Associate certification as not counting toward Partner Network tier eligibility; Developer and both Architect certifications count.
Prerequisites
None of the four exams has a mandatory prerequisite or required course; each guide states the credential is awarded on exam performance alone. Each publishes recommended experience: see the "recommended experience" list on every certification page.
Accommodations and identification
Accommodations for documented needs are available and must be approved by Pearson VUE before scheduling. A valid, unexpired government photo ID whose name exactly matches the registration is required; a mismatch at check-in means no test and a forfeited fee.
Total cost of a first pass, realistically
The exam fee plus your preparation time. AI7x7's practice exams and guides are free; the optional premium package is $19 per certification, one-time. There is no required paid course.
